The reservation will be held until 18:00 (6 PM) on the date of arrival unless we have been informed of, for example, late arrival or a boat or helicopter cancellation or delay.

If the guest does not show up on the date of arrival, and no explanation or cancellation has been given to the hotel, we will bill the guest for one night, and the rest of the reservation will be cancelled.

We ask for all reservations to be paid on the date of departure, unless otherwise agreed.

The room is available from 15:00 (3 PM).

Check out is at 10:30 (10:30 AM).

If the guest has not checked out before 10:30, we reserve the right to charge an extra night on the bill.

If the room is booked for another guest the same day, and the guest is not at the hotel, our housekeeping will pack the guest's belongings and hand them over to the reception, who will then charge an extra fee of DKK 250.

Late check out can be arranged for a fee of DKK 100 per agreed hour, unless the room is booked for another guest the same day.

A booking of 8 rooms or more will be considered a group booking, and a minimum number of rooms must be confirmed at least 30 days prior to arrival. If the whole group or individual rooms are cancelled less than 30 days prior, there is a cancellation fee of 100% of the total invoice.

Hotel Qaqortoq gladly cooperates with travel agencies. However, we pay no commissions because we assume that the travel agencies have already collected sufficient fees directly from their customers for services rendered.

From January 1, 2026, Hotel Qaqortoq only sends invoices to travel agencies. All business travellers are requested to bring a company card or other form of payment. All rooms must be paid upon arrival unless otherwise agreed with the hotel manager.

A tourist accommodation tax was introduced on January 1, 2026. Accordingly, all non-residents of Greenland are charged a fee of DKK 30 per person per night, to be paid directly at the reception.
